Cleverly Simple

I love Google and everything they stand for, but sometimes I get the feeling that they forget that consumers aren't nearly as geeky as they are, and it shows particularity in their new product demo's or releases (like GoogleWave). There is an element of letting people discover on their own which is nice... but for something as simple and important as your browser itself, I think, needs a bit more of a more "human" touch.

That's why I really like these films by BBH Labs for Chrome. Clever (as you'd expect from Google) but demonstrating simplicity - both visually and in language. I dig how they've used intricacy to showcase simplicity.

The people behind The Onion News Network have to be some of the most creative folk in the world right now. Their ability to continually create content (of such a high quality) so often is amazing. It's so well done a lot of the time people people don't realize it's parody! What's the most impressive to me thought is how quickly The Onion tap into and create content around social topics/trends. Adland could learn a thing or two from these guys...
