Tankard Update (MEL > NYC)

Straight up, it was my honor to play a part in a leg of Paul Coleman's mighty Tankard journey. Here is the latest installment...

In late August, I caught up with groovy Lauren and digital guru Ben Dux for our typical coffee and random chit-chat session. This time also entailed the passing of the Tankard in preparation for my trip overseas.

Here is the official "handing over". I won't lie, this was a nervous moment.

Ben was casting his "Antiques Roadshow" eye of admiration of the magnificent decorative design.

Eventually, it was time for the Tankard to return to it's wooly protective housing for the long trip. A few days and some thousands of km's later... we had arrived!!

New York baby! So the Tankard enjoyed seeing the sites. She got in free at most museums which was great - even though she spent most of the time in the checked bag area. Eventually, it was time for us to part so I needed to find a suitable person to hand over this epic responsibility, and who else more suited in the world to take on a project that started out on a blog, was driven by social media and then crossed into the real world connecting real people?

It's crazy who you can run into and have lunch with in New York! Faris Yakob (and his new SM guy Dave) seemed pleased to meet the Tankard. I was glad to have played my part but sad to see her go. Good luck Tankard, Godspeed and may you continue onward! Thanks for everything Faris, we WILL have that pint soon :)

Oh, and this last pic is for Lauren from Faris' office ;)
